K.D. College of Commerce and General Studies, Midnapore, at the time of its inception in 1961, was the only pioneering institution imparting commerce education only, in both Purba and Paschim Medinipur district. With the march of time, new feathers have been added to the glorious crown of the college with the incorporation of Arts and Science streams. As an institution of success and glory, the college is ably marching ahead catering to the needs of the students in particular and society at large. The College was accredited ‘B+’ grade by the NAAC peer Team, in its second cycle of visit, in 2017.

The college offers three years Bachelor Degree in both Honours and General Courses in Commerce & Arts as well as Honours in Science as recommended by the West Bengal State Council of Higher Education and affiliated by Vidyasagar University.

Honours Courses in 'Accounting & Finance' and 'Marketing Management' are offered presently under commerce stream with general Course of Studies. In Arts stream we offer Honours in Bengali , English and other General Courses of Studies. In Science stream we offer Geography Hons.
